New Gamecock Cover
What are we doing this week?
The need for a cover on Gamecock is for several reasons.
To keep the rain water off the internal woodwork.
To keep the sun off.
To allow work to continue in the rain.
Why are we doing this?
The previous cover was a lorry tarpaulin that has been around as long as I can remember and some inexpensive bought ones.
Having survived for years, January’s high winds eventually ripped the existing cover to shreds.
What was noticed was that without the cover it looked more like a boat, with the lines exposed, particularly from across the harbour. The new cover is a bit more bespoke to hopefully keep the lines visible.
Did you know….?
The sheet was a part of 40′ x 40′ sheet donated by Star Events, who specialise in outdoor stages.
