Whitstable Maritime is run by skilled volunteers and has been extremely successful in raising funds and grants to support their work. The Charity enjoys strong relationships with local businesses, organisations and the community. The Charity has attracted strong Partnership and its brand is recognised in London, East Kent and N Europe.
Volunteers are integral to Whitstable Maritime. Without their help, we would not be able to drive the programmes forward. Our commitment is to give volunteers the opportunity to enjoy a rewarding experience that is valued by all. Areas we are looking for support on include:
Social media campaigns – there is lots going on and Whitstable Maritime needs support in making sure these are effectively captured and posted through the appropriate channels
Event management – Whitstable Maritime is active in the community and needs support co-ordinate events and community engagement
Fund raising – Whitstable Maritime is financed by funds raised by volunteers. There is special focus currently on raising funds to complete the Gamecock restoration.
Gamecock restoration – want to improve your carpentry skills? There is the opportunity to support restoration work, and volunteers with heritage and carpentry skills are especially welcome.
